Exploring Pickup Locations
Enable pickup locations
This feature will allow your customers to select their preferred pickup location. Also, you would be able to set some rules that apply to specific pickup places so that you manage your orders easier. To get started, go to Settings > Pickup locations.
The pickup location selector will only be displayed for the Store pickup method. If you need a new store location, please create it first on the Locations admin page or check our article: How to add Locations in Buunto.
To add a location or locations, just click on the "add pickup location" button and the list of locations available in your store will show up, select the ones you need.
You can also define the order of the locations by using the up and down arrows. This will display the location at the top as first option always in the dropdown.
Dropdown settings
You can choose between displaying just the location’s name in the dropdown, displaying the name and location’s address and a link to Google Maps, or avoid displaying the dropdown at all.
Also, "Show the dropdown when only one pickup location is available" will help you keep displayed the name of your only pickup location. That way, the customer will know exactly where to go:
Pickup location styles
You have the option to edit the look of the widget when the Pickup location is enabled. You need to navigate to: Settings > Widget design > Pickup location styles:
Custom Settings
If you have already set up custom settings (based on product tags, collections, or product options), and you wish to include or exclude specific locations for these settings, you can do so within: Settings > Pickup Locations > Manage custom settings.
From here you can:
- Defined specific locations for the Custom settings
- Reuse the locations defined in the default settings
Note that if you select a custom setting based on locations from the Manage Custom settings dropdown, you cannot define specific locations here.
Autofill Shipping Address with Pickup Location
In case you want the shipping address prefilled for the customers so the checkout process is faster, you can enable this setting:
When the setting is enabled, once the customer reaches the checkout page, the address of the store selected for pickup will be pre-populated already:
In case you find this feature conflicting with any other rule or setting you have set for shipping in your store, let us know and we will try to find the best way to set this up for you.
Order by distance from the user's location
If you want to arrange pickup locations near the customer for more convenient selections, the “Order by Distance from User's Location" feature is enabled by default.
Please note that the sorting uses IP location data and may have slight variances in accuracy.
